National Association of Women in Construction Awards (NAWIC)

Diversity Award – Queensland
Winner

Strongest Aurecon Attribute: Co-creative

Regarding championing gender diversity and inclusion, co-creative is the most relevant attribute. We’ve made significant changes to our culture, behaviours and mindset; but, to implement such holistic step-change it will take a coalition of the willing who are committed, engaged and absolute believers in the why.

In my work in the construction industry, I’ve embraced the topic of gender diversity and inclusion. I’ve been fortunate to have enjoyed positive lived experiences, but empathise with others who’ve endured a more challenging journey. I especially enjoy motivating people to speak up and have bold conversations. This award provides reassurance we are on the right path and are making really meaningful change in our workplace (and the broader industry).
